St Davids Camping and Caravanning Club Site

SEARCH: Motorhomes for Hire in Pembrokeshire

Just five miles from Britians smallest city you can find St Davids Camping and Caravanning Club Site. This is a sloping site so you will require chocks to stay level. Staying level is both for your own comfort and to ensure that the fridge works efficiently. This site also has poor television reception and no mobile phone reception which may be a bonus for those of you who truly want to relax and get away from it all. The site and the surrounding coastland are ideal for walkers who love spectacular scenery. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park surrounds the Site, it is the country’s only coastal National Park. If you are keen on bird watching this is an ideal base for taking a boat trip round the RSPB reserve at Ramsey Island to see the breeding choughs and peregrines. Discounts for the trip are available on Site. There are also weekly sheep dog trials held in the summer just two miles away. On Thursday mornings go to St Davids to buy your provisions from the country market which sells local grown or bred food. Call in at the Cathedral Refectory at St David’s for a coffee or tea with home-made food made from local ingredients. Porthgain has an pub called the Sloop which offers reasonably priced food and some local ales. If you want to leave your Welsh Motorhome Hire on site you can travel up the coast on the Puffin Shuttle and Celtic Coaster bus services. Campers can catch the bus at the entrance to the campsite.
