If you are touring near Kircudbrightshire in Scotland and want a pitch for the night close to a beach, Brighouse Bay Holiday Park may well fit your needs. It has hardstanding pitches and grass; we always recommend that motorhomes go for hard standing. You are 3,500 mass or more in weight in a Motorhome and front wheel drive, so grass can be a problem. Brighouse Bay Holiday Park is also home to holiday cottages and several holiday lodges that are rented out. Television reception in Brighouse Bay is not good due to the surrounding hills so if you are keen to watch your favourite programme there may be a problem. To assist people, the park has set up its own booster system on certain pitches. To hook up you require a coax cable which plugs one end in to your television and the other into the hook up provided. If you do not have your own cable, one can be purchased from the main Reception on arrival. The site has all the usual facilities one expects from a large holiday park and offer further activities such as Quad Biking. The location in the Bay is the best attraction for this site and there are plenty of opportunities for quiet relaxing walks along coastal paths or rural and woodland walks. The entire family will love the sandy beach which gives just the right sort of sand to build that giant sandcastle! The area is known for its flourishing artistic colony.In the high season, artists and craft workers continue the tradition of the area, using the upper floor. Visitors are welcome to watch them at work. Includes permanent exhibits.
