The chance to see behind the scenes, the making of famous TV programmes has got to be irresistible! The BBC Television Centre is a fascinating place to take a tour and the whole family will find it both interesting and fun. You will get a chance to see the BBC newsroom with informed guides giving you lots of inside information on how everything is produced. If you are lucky you may well see some one you recognize or one of your favorite stars! There is also an opportunity not to be missed to make your own bit of TV in the interactive studio. As you walk around the building you will also be shown memorabilia from Eastenders or Dr Who. Have a look at the greenrooms and dressing rooms. When you are back home you can imagine the guests waiting there before they perform! Over the decades so many famous people have graced these corridors and performed in these studios. The tour takes, an hour and a half, and usually takes place in the evenings. In 2011 they held several in June and July so check the website link at the bottom of the page for future events. You can also see if you can appear in the audience for a show on the same website.
