Chester Cathedral is a great place to visit whilst touring around Cheshire in a camper van. Chester Cathedral dates back almost 2000 years, and has origins in a prehistoric Druid’s temple. Records show that a church was founded on the site in 660. At Chester Cathedral you can witness a fine display of medieval wood carvings, the 200 year old “Cobweb Picture” depicting the Virgin Mary with child, and the ecclesiastical court which is the only remaining one of its kind in the UK.
A very pleasant cafe gives you the chance to relax during your visit.
